Hannah & Jordan’s engagement session took place in the heart of the New Forest, in beautiful Brockenhurst, Hampshire. One of my absolute favourite locations for engagement sessions in 2025. The New Forest offers the perfect mix of woodland paths and soft natural light, making it an ideal backdrop for relaxed, romantic photography.
We met in February, which is such an underrated time for engagement photos in Hampshire. The forest feels calm and peaceful and the winter light can be incredibly soft and flattering. Towards the end of the session, the sun appeared and gave us the most beautiful glow through the trees. Perfect for those intimate, natural portraits.
You might spot the clear umbrellas in some of the photos and no, it wasn’t raining! I always keep them in my car just in case (very useful for New Forest weather!), but this time we used them just for fun. They add such a playful touch to engagement photography while keeping the focus on the couple.
Hannah & Jordan were completely natural together - laughing, walking hand in hand through the forest and simply enjoying the moment. It was actually their first time in front of the camera, but you would never have guessed. They relaxed into it so quickly, which shows that engagement sessions in the New Forest can feel easy and comfortable, even if you’ve never had professional photos taken before.
